Role Overview
This position sits at the commercial heart of our hospitality operation, turning interest into confirmed bookings across our venue spaces, accommodation, and catering services. Day to day, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities, nurture a pipeline of existing clients, and coordinate closely with operations teams to ensure every promise made to a guest is one we can deliver. Your success determines not just top-line revenue, but the stability of the whole property, making this a pivotal role for the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source and contact prospective clients via cold calls, networking events, and targeted outreach to corporate, event, and travel industry contacts.
- Deliver persuasive presentations and site tours that showcase our catering, dining, event, and accommodation capabilities to different buyer profiles.
- Manage inbound enquiries with speed and professionalism, converting quotes into confirmed contracts through sharp negotiation and clear communication.
- Maintain accurate records of every lead, interaction, and booking stage in our CRM, using the data to prioritise high-value opportunities.
- Collaborate with event managers and front-of-house teams to align contracted services with operational capacity, staffing, and timing.
- Maximise the value of each booking by cross-selling audiovisual equipment, bars, menu upgrades, and overnight room blocks.
- Monitor local market trends, competitor offerings, and rising client expectations to refine sales pitches and identify untapped segments.
- Act as the dedicated relationship owner for each client from the first enquiry through post-event follow-up, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least two to three years of proven experience in hospitality sales, venue business development, or a related client-facing commercial role.
- A strong track record of meeting or exceeding individual booking revenue targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present to decision-makers and negotiate terms.
- Ability to build genuine, lasting relationships with clients while maintaining professional boundaries and commercial priorities.
- Practical experience using CRM software and booking systems to manage pipelines and report on conversion activity.
- Strong organisational skills with the discipline to juggle multiple leads, deadlines, and client touchpoints simultaneously.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evenings or weekends to host site visits and attend networking events.
- Relevant education in hospitality management, sales, or business is advantageous but can be offset by demonstrable field experience.
