Role Overview
This position sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, and guest relations. Day to day, you will identify and develop new business opportunities across corporate, group, and leisure segments while nurturing an existing portfolio of clients. Your work directly shapes occupancy targets and revenue performance, making you a key driver of the organisation's commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively seek out new corporate accounts, event planners, and travel agents through networking, site visits, and targeted outreach campaigns.
- Maintain a structured pipeline of leads and opportunities, prioritising those with the highest revenue potential for the property.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets for room nights, event bookings, and catering sales.
- Conduct personalised property tours and client presentations, tailoring the pitch to each prospect's specific needs and budget.
- Prepare accurate quotations and proposals, negotiating rates and terms within agreed guidelines to convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, resolving issues promptly and ensuring a seamless experience from pre-arrival to post-departure.
- Collaborate with operations, front office, and events teams to align client commitments with available inventory and service capabilities.
- Track competitor activity and market trends, reporting findings to management to support pricing and promotional strategy.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in hospitality sales, business development, or guest relationship management, preferably within a hotel or resort setting.
- Proven track record of generating leads and closing sales in a target-driven environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships and confidently present to decision-makers.
- Familiarity with property management systems, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and standard booking and contracting processes.
- Excellent negotiation and organisational skills, with close attention to detail in preparing proposals and contracts.
- A degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience is accepted.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, to accommodate client visits and industry events.
