Role Overview
As a Sales Executive, you will be the face of the business for customers shopping across vehicles, spare parts, accessories and aftermarket services — meeting them in person, over the phone and online, understanding what they actually need, and steering them from first enquiry to signed deal. Much of your week is spent prospecting new buyers, presenting product options, preparing quotes and keeping your pipeline moving so revenue targets stay on track. This role matters because every closed deal and every relationship you nurture directly grows the company's market share and repeat customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Hunt for new business across the automotive market by working walk-in traffic, referrals, networking contacts, digital and social channels, and outbound prospecting.
- Present and demonstrate vehicles, spare parts, accessories and service packages, explaining specifications, features, benefits and available options in terms customers understand.
- Build and manage a steady sales pipeline, tracking every prospect from first contact through quotation, negotiation and final closing.
- Prepare quotations and sales proposals, negotiate pricing and terms within approved company limits, and work through customer objections to reach agreement.
- Follow up consistently and on time with leads and warm prospects, keeping accurate records of conversations and activity in the customer database.
- Coordinate with workshop, parts, finance and delivery teams to make sure each completed sale is fulfilled smoothly.
- Stay current on new models, product updates and competitor activity so you can speak credibly about the range and the market.
- Check in with customers after purchase, resolve routine concerns or escalate them where needed, and turn satisfied buyers into repeat and referral business.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Automotive Management or a closely related discipline.
- At least 2–3 years of hands-on sales experience, ideally gained within the automotive sector; a background in vehicle sales, spare parts or automotive services is a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated track record of hitting individual monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Solid grasp of the full sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification through negotiation to closing and after-sales follow-up.
- Strong customer relationship management skills, including database upkeep, reporting and disciplined record keeping.
- Confident communication and presentation ability, with the credibility to explain technical product detail to non-technical buyers.
- Comfortable selling through digital and social media platforms as well as face to face.
- Target-driven, self-motivated and able to problem-solve under pressure; a valid driving licence is an added advantage.
