Job Title: Travel Trade & Account Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and corporate travel planners. You will actively promote our hospitality properties and experiences, driving bookings and increasing revenue through the travel trade channel. This role involves frequent agency visits, organizing familiarization trips, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and corporate travel planners.
- Actively promote Superior Homes Hospitality properties and experiences to travel agencies, driving bookings and increasing revenue through travel agents.
- Conduct regular agency visits to share updates, drop marketing materials, and strengthen relationships through personalized interactions.
- Organize familiarization trips, networking events, and training sessions for travel agents to experience our hospitality offerings first-hand.
- Track and report on agency engagements, booking performance, and market feedback, providing insights to the Hospitality Manager/team.
- Monitor travel industry trends, competitor activity, and agency needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with the Hospitality, Reservations, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless service delivery for travel partners and their clients.
- Represent Superior Homes Hospitality at industry events and networking forums when required.
- Drive new business across Corporate, NGO, Government, Church, and School segments.
- Identify and secure Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement.
- Maximize occupancy and Average Daily Rate (ADR) through effective yield management.
- Manage OTA platforms, including Booking.com, Expedia, and Airbnb, ensuring accurate rates and compelling listings.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a client-facing, sales, or account management role within hospitality, travel, or tourism.
- Strong existing network within the Kenyan travel trade industry is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, travel frequently, and manage multiple relationships effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills – ability to adhere to deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize.
- Ability to learn quickly and manage workload in a demanding environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Entrepreneurial spirit with demonstrated creativity and innovation in business.
