Role Overview
This is a phone-based sales seat built for someone who genuinely enjoys the chase — talking with customers all day about membership programs, products, and services, and turning that conversation into a completed sale. You'll work through a high volume of calls, roughly 40 a day, and the job is about what happens in those minutes: reading the customer, framing the value, and getting to a decision. The role sits at the front line of revenue for the business, so the ability to handle objections skillfully and close confidently has a direct impact on results.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell memberships, products, and services to customers over the phone across a continuous flow of calls.
- Use well-practiced rebuttal techniques to explain and defend the value of membership programs when customers push back.
- Recognize upsell openings mid-conversation and act on them to increase revenue on every interaction.
- Handle a wide range of customer objections — price, timing, hesitation, skepticism — and keep the conversation moving toward a close.
- Maintain control of the call's direction and pace while managing approximately 40 calls per day.
- Deliver strong customer service without losing the sales focus, so customers feel informed rather than pressured.
- Track your performance against sales metrics and KPIs and adjust your approach based on what the numbers show.
- Adapt your pitch in real time to match how each individual customer responds.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, telesales, inside sales, or another customer-facing sales role.
- Demonstrated closing ability — you can move a hesitant customer to a decision without damaging the relationship.
- Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills, including comfort with rehearsed rebuttals.
- The ability to build rapport quickly and influence what a customer ultimately decides.
- A results-driven mindset, backed by prior experience working toward sales quotas, metrics, or KPIs.
- Excellent verbal communication and call control skills over the phone.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is standard for this role; additional formal sales training or certifications are a plus.
- Flexibility to work weekends and rotating schedules. Training runs Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM CST. Operational schedules rotate within Monday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM CST, and Sunday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM CST. Each shift includes a one-hour lunch break.
