Description:

A construction-focused organization in the UAE is seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant working environment across project sites and ensuring all health and safety regulations are properly implemented.

This role involves actively monitoring workplace conditions, improving safety procedures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Candidates with strong certifications and hands-on site safety experience will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures

• Monitor construction site activities to ensure full compliance with safety regulations

• Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential hazards

• Investigate incidents, accidents, and violations, and prepare detailed reports

• Enforce preventive safety measures across all operational areas

• Review existing safety systems and recommend improvements

• Ensure employees strictly follow safety rules and operational guidelines

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a construction company

• Strong knowledge of workplace safety systems and risk management

• Ability to conduct inspections, audits, and safety training sessions

Strong knowledge of:

• NEBOSH standards and practices

• IOSH guidelines and certification frameworks

• OSHAD regulatory requirements

• ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management systems
