The Objective

We are looking for a hands-on Restaurant Supervisor to act as the primary link between our guests and the kitchen. Your mandate is to maintain a seamless service rhythm, ensuring that every diner receives high-quality, prompt, and professional attention. You will be responsible for the front-of-house team’s performance, from shift briefings to high-pressure conflict resolution. By combining operational rigor with a customer-first mindset, you will help the restaurant achieve its sales targets while upholding the highest standards of hygiene and professionalism.

Operational Workstreams

Front-of-House Leadership

  • Supervise the daily opening and closing procedures to ensure the restaurant is service-ready.

  • Coordinate the interaction between the bar, kitchen, and service staff to eliminate bottlenecks and delays.

  • Lead daily shift briefings to communicate specials, targets, and operational priorities.

  • Provide continuous coaching and on-the-job training to waiters and waitresses to elevate service standards.

Service Quality & Guest Relations

  • Monitor the flow of table service, intervening personally to resolve customer complaints or complex requests.

  • Foster a welcoming dining atmosphere through proactive guest engagement and feedback collection.

  • Ensure all front-of-house staff adhere to grooming standards and professional conduct.

  • Drive upselling initiatives to support the achievement of daily and monthly revenue goals.

Administrative & Compliance Oversight

  • Oversee the accuracy of the POS system, ensuring all billing, payment processing, and reconciliations are error-free.

  • Monitor stock levels for front-of-house essentials and report shortages or breakages to management.

  • Enforce strict adherence to food safety, health, and sanitation regulations across the dining and service areas.

  • Minimize operational wastage through efficient resource management and staff accountability.

Candidate Specifications

The Essentials

  • Education: Diploma in Hospitality Management or a closely related field.

  • Domain Expertise: Proven experience in a supervisory role or as a Senior Waiter within a high-traffic restaurant or hotel setting.

  • Technical Familiarity: Practical knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems and basic cash reconciliation.

Leadership Profile

  • Coordination: Exceptional ability to multitask and manage service staff under high-pressure conditions.

  • Communication: Clear, professional verbal skills for interacting with guests and resolving staff conflicts.

  • Problem-Solving: A calm and effective approach to resolving operational challenges and guest grievances.

  • Target-Driven: A commitment to excellence that encourages the team to meet performance KPIs and improve guest retention.

Why This Role Matters

  • Leadership Opportunity: Take direct ownership of shift outcomes and staff development.

  • Dynamic Environment: Work in a fast-paced hospitality hub with direct influence over guest satisfaction.
