Position Title: Regulatory Affairs & Training Manager
Direct Line Reporting: Chief Executive Officer
Industry Sector: Pharmaceutical / Healthcare
Gross Salary Structure: Kshs. 150,000 – 180,000
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly authoritative, strategically mature Regulatory Affairs & Training Manager to spearhead our commercial compliance frameworks and internal technical empowerment programs. Your double-sided objective is to ensure absolute regulatory alignment for our imported and distributed pharmaceutical portfolio, while simultaneously designing performance-driven training blueprints for our commercial and technical field forces. This position bridges high-stakes state compliance with modern corporate talent cultivation; you will direct product assets from initial dossier compilations and Pharmacy and Poisons Board interactions through to operational field skill updates. The role calls for an executive-level pharmacist or life sciences expert who holds a deep command of Kenyan healthcare legislation and can seamlessly build cross-functional operational strength.
Areas of Accountability
Regulatory Strategy & Compliance Safeguards
-
Lead and coordinate the end-to-end architecture of new product registrations, active license renewals, product variations, and official dossier submissions.
-
Enforce continuous structural compliance across all logistics and distribution channels, matching company operations with Kenyan pharmaceutical statutes.
-
Cultivate, insulate, and manage high-level consultative relationships with statutory healthcare regulators and relevant national health bodies.
-
Intercept and evaluate shifting healthcare legislations, transforming statutory updates into actionable strategic manuals for executive leadership.
-
Assemble complete technical documentation packs for official submissions, maintaining a zero-delay approval timeline on all pipeline products.
-
Provide lead execution support during external state audits, facility inspections, and mandatory compliance assessments.
Workforce Architecture & Capability Training
-
Design, construct, and execute rigorous technical training programs aimed at upskilling the commercial sales and technical advisory teams.
-
Conduct precise departmental skills-gap analyses to structure personalized performance coaching and professional growth interventions.
-
Facilitate masterclass-level training modules focusing on drug mechanism knowledge, compliance ethics, and emerging market regulatory parameters.
-
Establish metrics to evaluate long-term training effectiveness, updating internal teaching syllabi for continuous commercial improvement.
-
Orchestrate standard onboarding paths for incoming technical staff while sustaining professional education programs across sister departments.
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum Entry Criteria
-
Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a strictly matching medical science discipline.
-
Professional Track Record: Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in corporate regulatory affairs, with a significant background anchored inside the pharmaceutical import or distribution sectors.
-
Technical Mastery: Verifiable success in directing multi-market product registrations, navigating regulatory friction points, and deploying corporate capability development modules.
-
Professional Associations: Active registration or valid membership with relevant pharmaceutical or life sciences professional bodies is highly advantageous.
Executive Competencies
-
Corporate Maturity: Proven leadership experience with the polished communication, boardroom presentation, and interpersonal skills needed to interface with state officials and executive teams.

-
Cross-Functional Influence: Skilled at working collaboratively alongside Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and active Commercial Sales teams to accelerate business growth.
What We Offer
-
High-Level Leadership: Step into an executive role with direct accountability over a vital commercial pipeline within East Africa's healthcare market.
