Role Overview
This position sits at the front line of the institution's growth, turning interest from prospective students into completed applications and confirmed enrollments. Day to day, the recruiter connects with candidates online and in person, screens them for fit with academic and international placement tracks, and keeps the admissions funnel moving across Nairobi and Kisumu. The work directly determines how many students the institution reaches and enrolls each intake.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow the applicant pool by running outreach through social media, community groups, career fairs, and word-of-mouth referrals, and by nurturing relationships that keep new leads coming in.
- Meet prospective students face to face or online to assess their qualifications, motivation, and readiness for the institution's academic and international placement programmes.
- Walk each applicant through every step of joining, from the first enquiry to submitting an application and completing registration, chasing any documents or details still outstanding.
- Stay in contact with students who have already enrolled to ensure tuition payments are made on schedule and orientation runs smoothly.
- Write and publish content for the institution's social channels, showcasing training programmes, institutional achievements, and placement outcomes.
- Handle the day-to-day running of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X, replying to comments and direct messages without delay.
- Plan and attend field activations, open days, and promotional campaigns that raise the institution's profile in the community.
- Keep the central student database current with enquiries, application progress, conversion rates, and registration numbers, and prepare weekly and monthly enrollment reports for management review.
- Respond to incoming questions by phone, email, messaging apps, and in person for walk-in visitors.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Communications, Education, or a closely related discipline.
- At least one year of hands-on experience in student admissions, course or training sales, talent recruitment, or education marketing.
- Prior exposure to a TVET college, university, vocational training centre, or education consultancy is a strong advantage.
- Practical understanding of digital lead generation, social media management tools, and tactics that turn enquiries into enrollments.
- Confident spoken and written communication, with the ability to interview and assess candidates persuasively.
- Comfortable working in Microsoft Excel and Word as well as Google Workspace tools.
- Able to work on site and travel for regional marketing activities.
What We Offer / Why Join
- Gross monthly pay between KES 60,000 and KES 70,000.
- A full-time, on-site role based in either Nairobi or Kisumu, with regional outreach built into the schedule.
- A position that blends admissions work with digital marketing, giving you room to build both skill sets.
- The opportunity to shape how a training and international placement institution builds its student pipeline and public profile.
