Role Overview

This professional role sits at the intersection of environmental sustainability and public health, supporting the design, execution, and evaluation of programmes that address One Health, biodiversity, climate, and pollution issues. Day to day, you will analyse complex data, draft policy and research documents, facilitate stakeholder workshops, coordinate budget and funding processes, and lead outreach missions in collaboration with governments and international partners. Your work directly enables the organisation to translate evidence into actionable strategies that protect both ecosystems and human well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the full project cycle for assigned initiatives, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting, while identifying bottlenecks and recommending corrective measures to keep interventions on track.
• Act as a consultant to clients by designing and facilitating workshops and interactive sessions, then helping them craft action plans for managing institutional or policy change.
• Conduct research and policy analysis on emerging issues in the health-environment nexus, and contribute to evaluations, surveys, and data collection tools that generate new evidence.
• Draft substantive written outputs such as background papers, analytical briefs, sections of reports, and content for external publications.
• Provide logistical and substantive support for consultative meetings and conferences, including setting agendas, selecting participants, and preparing presentation materials.
• Carry out outreach and capacity-building activities, including training seminars and speaking engagements, and participate in or lead field missions offering technical guidance to government officials and external consultants.
• Coordinate budgeting and funding-related workflows, including programme submissions, progress reporting, financial statements, and work-plan documentation.
• Turn raw data from multiple sources into clear visual reports, charts, and dashboards that support strategic planning and management decision-making.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent) in environmental science, public health, interdisciplinary studies, social sciences, or a related field; an initial university degree combined with qualifying experience will be accepted.
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management related to One Health, biodiversity, climate, or pollution as it affects human health.
• A minimum of two years of work experience in developing countries, plus a minimum of two years with an international organisation such as the United Nations.
• Familiarity with international interagency collaboration spanning both health and environment sectors, and experience in data analytics, is considered an asset.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data and communicate findings clearly.
• Proven ability to plan and organise work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and follow through on deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• A collaborative mindset, valuing diverse perspectives and contributing positively to team dynamics, and a commitment to integrating gender equality and inclusivity into all areas of work.
• Completion of formal (degree or certificate) training in data analytics, business analytics, or data science is desirable.
