Job Title: Senior Human Resource Management Assistant

Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- At least twelve (12) years cumulative work experience, three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Senior Human Resource Management Assistant or in a comparable position in the private or the public sector;
- A Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Human Resource Management, Business Administration (Human Resource Option), or its equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;
- A Certificate in Management Course;
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing guidance on the appropriate application of Human Resource Management matters;
- Coordinating and supervising clerical work done in the Section;
- Ensuring proper application and interpretation of Human Resource Management policies, regulations, procedures and systems;
- Supervising Human Resource Management activities in appointments, promotions, complement control, and staff development within the framework of the existing Human Resource policies and regulations;
- Assisting in preparing Agendas for various Human Resource Management Committees;
- Assisting in undertaking training needs analysis, projections and developing training programmes;
- Administering performance appraisal, collating and compiling performance-related data; and
- Assisting in the preparation of Human Resource related reports.
Remuneration
Remuneration will be in accordance with NLAS Salary Scale:
NLAS GRADE 5: 128,570 x 10,755 – 139,325 x 10,755 – 150,080 x 10,755 – 160,835 x 10,755 – 171,590 x 10,755 – 182,345 x 10,755 – 193,100 x 10,755 – 203,855 p.m.
Terms of Service
Note: NLAS Grades 1, 2 & 3 are on a three-year contract basis, renewable once, while the rest are on permanent and pensionable terms.
