  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualised treatment plans using therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy as clinically appropriate.
  • Carry out physical disability assessments, categorise disability types, and assist with patient registration and related disability services.
  • Collect, verify, and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information, including treatment records, progress notes, and referral documentation.
  • Deliver prescribed physiotherapy interventions to patients, monitoring their progress and modifying treatment plans when necessary.
  • Sensitise patients, families, and community groups about the availability and benefits of physiotherapy services, including home exercise programmes and injury prevention.
  • Gather clinical and operational data for research purposes, helping to identify trends and improve service delivery.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports covering patient caseloads, treatment outcomes, and any recommendations for service improvements.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A certificate in computer application skills from a recognised institution.
  • Current certificate of practice from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK).
  • Demonstrated experience in assessing and treating patients across outpatient, ward, or community health settings.
  • Competence in therapeutic exercise prescription, manual therapy techniques, and the use of electrotherapy and hydrotherapy modalities.
  • Strong ability to conduct disability evaluations and maintain structured patient documentation.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications for record keeping, data collection, and report writing.
  • Effective communication and community engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
