Role Overview
The Partnerships Success Lead manages and grows Turaco’s partner relationships in Kenya, connecting partner teams with the internal functions needed to deliver reliable day-to-day service. The role combines account management, operational follow-through and commercial performance: success means resolving issues promptly while helping partners increase customer adoption, product uptake and Gross Written Premium.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main contact for partner organizations, building effective relationships with senior leaders as well as branch, regional and field teams.
- Plan regular partner check-ins, field visits and performance reviews; turn feedback and performance data into agreed actions and growth opportunities.
- Coordinate partnership launches, product rollouts, staff training and marketing activations with partner teams and Turaco’s Commercial and Marketing functions.
- Monitor monthly adoption, product uptake and Gross Written Premium against targets; investigate declines and work with partners on practical recovery plans.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships through increased adoption, cross-selling, upselling or broader rollout.
- Coordinate with Customer Experience, Claims, Operations, Finance, Technology, Product and Marketing to address partner issues and improve the partner experience.
- Oversee partner invoicing and follow up on payments, escalating delays and operational risks when needed.
- Track developments in Kenya’s financial services and insurance markets, including competitor activity, pricing, product changes and relevant regulatory developments; share useful findings with Commercial and Business Development teams.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business, Finance, Economics, Operations Management or a related field.
- Three to five years of experience in partnerships, B2B account management or a similar operational role, preferably in financial services.
- Experience in a country-level role working with a central team to manage or support partner accounts.
- Understanding of Kenya’s microfinance and financial inclusion models, mobile money environment and asset-financing sector.
- Familiarity with microfinance institutions, agricultural networks, mass-market fintech, off-grid asset finance, or technology-led insurance or asset-finance businesses.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to work confidently with executives and frontline teams; fluency in English is required.
- Ability to analyse performance data, communicate findings clearly and present recommendations to stakeholders.
- Organised and collaborative, with sound judgement in managing operational processes, partner commitments and cross-functional work.
