Manual Operator - Production

Your Mission

In this role, you ensure the company’s growth in production by:

• meeting daily production deliverables in Kenya in line with company strategy and sales plan, and with Kenya and Group guidelines,
• ensuring all goods are maintained in the best condition and production guidelines are adhered to, and
• maintaining health and safety practices within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

• Follow established operating procedures to perform production tasks safely and efficiently.
• Assist in the start-up, conversion, and monitoring of your own area of responsibility.
• Ensure a good transfer to the next shift.
• Escalate technical issues according to the agreed escalation flow and provide support to the technician during technical interventions.
• Adhere to cost and productivity instructions within your area of responsibility.
• Support other operational activities and duties as assigned by the Operations Director.

Quality & Food Safety

• Ensure products and work practices meet company quality and food safety standards.
• Apply food safety instructions (fit for work, personal hygiene).
• Follow the agreements made in connection with food safety.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Comply with all HSE requirements and company policies.
• Complete mandatory safety training and participate in safety initiatives.
• Conduct last-minute risk assessments: identify hazards, assess risks, evaluate risks, and document findings before starting work.
• Work to agreed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to maintain safety.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment for each task.
• Respect general hygiene measures of the company.

Communication & Team

• Communicate routine information, observations, and issues to team members and supervisors verbally or in writing.
• Be an ambassador of Puratos Magic within the team.
• Take ownership of your personal learning and development plan.

What We Expect From You

Education & Certification

• High School Certificate (KCSE).
• Valid Forklift Driving License.

Skills & Experience

• Ability to follow instructions and routines received through a short explanation.
• Experience working in a simple process with 1 simple parameter to be followed or adjusted on the working station.
• Commitment to company principles: safety and quality basic requirements, and ability to operate basic programs with repetitive tasks.
