Role Overview
The Office Executive keeps the commercial and operational sides of this agribusiness moving in step — converting leadership priorities into workable project timelines, turning market and field intelligence into decision-ready documents, and making sure raw materials reach production without avoidable delays. Based in the Lavington office, this person is the daily link between management, suppliers, farmers, field agents and external partners, and is trusted to make sense of information arriving from many directions at once. The role matters because agribusiness margins are won or lost on timing: a stalled procurement decision or an uncoordinated field submission carries a real cost, and this position exists to prevent both.
Key Responsibilities
- Build project implementation plans with clear milestones, owners and tracking tools, then monitor delivery against those benchmarks and raise slippage early.
- Carry out market intelligence work on agricultural products — competitor activity, pricing movements and demand patterns — and shape the findings into business concepts, pitch decks and commercial marketing models.
- Collect, clean and synthesise input from field reports, supplier correspondence, media files and operational statistics into executive-level reporting and supporting documentation.
- Maintain structured archival and filing systems so information arriving from field teams, suppliers and external agents stays current, complete and easy to retrieve.
- Draft recurring progress updates, executive briefs, meeting minutes and data-backed recommendation papers for management review.
- Act as administrative backstop for field agents and ground personnel: tracking their deliverables, chasing outstanding submissions and keeping communication channels open.
- Support raw material procurement and deal directly with agricultural suppliers to head off stock delays and keep production workflows supplied.
- Manage executive schedules, project tracking logs and multi-stakeholder follow-ups, and contribute actively in corporate review meetings with clients, farmers, suppliers and institutional partners.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Project Management, Agribusiness or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of five years' relevant experience spanning project coordination, business operations, administrative management or market research.
- Prior exposure to agriculture, agribusiness value chains, supply chain management or field-based project execution is strongly preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills — Excel, Word and PowerPoint in particular — alongside familiarity with modern data management tools.
- Working grasp of supply chain logistics, supplier sourcing and the coordination of remote field agents.
- Demonstrated analytical writing ability: reports, commercial proposals, presentations and data summaries that stand up to management scrutiny.
- Proven capacity to run several project tracks simultaneously, hold colleagues to agreed timelines and keep administrative records in order.
