Fashion Buyer

Role Overview

As Fashion Buyer, you will shape the clothing, footwear, bags, and accessories offered in Mario Bologna’s Dubai retail business. You’ll combine knowledge of luxury and contemporary fashion with sales and stock analysis to choose collections that suit customer demand and support seasonal business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Track fashion movements, designer launches, seasonal ranges, and competitor activity to spot relevant products and buying opportunities.
• Choose and purchase collections across apparel, footwear, handbags, and accessories, balancing brand identity with customer preferences.
• Coordinate with international labels, suppliers, and business partners on product availability, prices, purchase terms, and delivery schedules.
• Review sales results, customer preferences, and sell-through data to inform product selection and future orders.
• Plan seasonal buys, including assortment breadth, order quantities, and size distribution.
• Monitor inventory and stock performance, identifying opportunities to maintain availability and improve sell-through.
• Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers and brands, including pricing, payment arrangements, and delivery timing.
• Work with retail and management colleagues to align collections and purchasing decisions with business objectives.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a fashion buyer or in a comparable buying position in fashion or luxury retail.
• Strong understanding of luxury and contemporary labels, seasonal collections, and current fashion trends.
• Experience using sales analysis, stock planning, and inventory information to guide buying decisions.
• Sound product-selection, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Clear communication and an ability to build productive working relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Candidates already based in the UAE are preferred.
