Role Overview

This nursing position places you at the center of daily patient care, where you will administer treatments, evaluate patient conditions, and provide frontline support for minor health concerns. Your clinical judgment and compassionate communication will directly influence recovery outcomes and the overall wellbeing of both patients and staff. Working under the guidance of a supervising clinician, you will maintain accurate medical records and ensure that every interaction reflects the highest standards of professional nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and injections, monitoring patients for adverse reactions and documenting each dose accurately.
• Maintain up-to-date medication records, including inventory counts, expiry checks, and controlled substance logs, in line with clinic protocols.
• Assess and treat minor ailments such as wounds, infections, and common illnesses, referring more complex cases to a physician when necessary.
• Provide health education and supportive counselling to patients, families, and staff on topics ranging from medication adherence to lifestyle management.
• Conduct thorough nursing assessments to identify patient needs, develop care plans, and adjust them as conditions evolve.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care, including lab tests, follow-up appointments, and patient handoffs.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by the immediate supervisor, including emergency response tasks and routine infection control checks.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent degree awarded by a recognized and accredited institution.
• A valid, current practicing license from the relevant nursing regulatory body in your jurisdiction.
• Registration with a professional nursing association or council, where such registration is legally required.
• Demonstrated computer literacy, including proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) software and standard office applications.
• At least two years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital, clinic, or community health setting (preferred, though newly licensed candidates with strong clinical rotations may be considered).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to remain calm and empathetic while working under pressure.
• Up-to-date knowledge of nursing best practices, patient safety standards, and infection prevention protocols.
