Role Overview
This position centres on owning the entire lifecycle of modern trade display stands — from initial planning and installation to routine upkeep and eventual removal — across a portfolio of retail outlets. Day to day, you will be out visiting stores to verify that stands look sharp, follow the agreed merchandising blueprint, and align with current brand campaigns, while also coordinating with design, product, and retail colleagues to keep every activation on schedule. Your work directly protects the brand’s in-store presence, ensuring shoppers always encounter a consistent, polished presentation that supports sales and product launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a live tracker for merchandise visibility by brand and outlet, spotting coverage gaps and driving follow-up until resolved.
- Maintain a detailed database of modern trade stands, logging each stand’s location, current status, and physical condition.
- Handle stands end to end — planning, build, ongoing maintenance, and decommissioning — while staying strictly within the modern trade operating procedure.
- Set and carry out a routine store visitation rota, inspecting stand quality, merchandising consistency, and compliance with standards.
- Coordinate with the retail project lead on stand fabrication, renovation work, and rollout deadlines.
- Align merchandising priorities with product managers, especially around upcoming launches and seasonal campaigns.
- Submit design requests on behalf of the modern trade team, monitor turnaround against the agreed service-level target, and keep stakeholders informed of progress.
- Plan and run in-store promotional activations, arranging merchandise placement and demo unit setup so briefs and budgets are respected.
- Track all demo units and display materials assigned to stands or events, and manage their retrieval or transfer to other locations.
- Support new store launch processes, including setting up dealer accounts, hitting target KPIs, and staying within allocated budgets.
- Monitor the turnaround of point-of-sale and display assets tied to fresh store openings and dealer acquisitions.
- Keep online dealer records accurate and current, including each account’s linked asset allocation.
- Deliver consistent reporting to the head of marketing on stand status, activation results, store openings, and asset movement.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in marketing, business, or another closely related discipline.
- Worked experience in modern trade, retail marketing, field merchandising, or visual merchandising.
- Proven organisational ability, comfortable juggling numerous stands and a fixed visit calendar without losing accuracy.
- Confidence working with trackers, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and budget sheets.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with a track record of liaising effectively across design, product management, and retail teams.
- Willingness to travel frequently for calls on stores and outlets.
- Valid driving licence, essential for travelling between different retail locations.
