Our client is looking for a trustworthy and customer-centric M-Pesa Executive to oversee daily mobile money operations across their strategic outlets. This position is vital for maintaining the fluid movement of electronic and physical currency while providing a secure environment for client transactions. You will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of M-Pesa services, ensuring that every deposit, withdrawal, and bill payment is executed with 100% accuracy. The ideal candidate is an honest, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a high-traffic retail environment.
Mobile Money Operations & Liquidity Management
Execute a full range of M-Pesa services, including deposits, withdrawals, P2P transfers, and Lipa na M-Pesa payments.
Manage liquidity by ensuring the outlet maintains an optimal balance of physical cash and digital float.
Perform rigorous daily reconciliations to balance the till and report any variances to the supervisor immediately.
Ensure precise entry of all transaction data into the official ledger and Safaricom agent portals.
Client Relations & Service Excellence
Provide professional and efficient service to a diverse customer base, ensuring a minimal wait time.
Educate customers on various M-Pesa features and assist with troubleshooting basic transaction errors.
Build trust and repeat business by handling all interactions with courtesy and transparency.
Efficiently resolve minor complaints and escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate support channels.
Regulatory Compliance & Fraud Prevention
Adhere strictly to Safaricom’s standard operating procedures and "Know Your Customer" (KYC) protocols.
Verify customer identification documents before processing high-value transactions to prevent fraud.
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding customer data and transaction history.
Follow all physical security protocols to safeguard cash on hand and the outlet premises.
Documentation & Performance Tracking
Maintain meticulous records of daily transactions, filing all receipts and supporting documents as required.
Generate end-of-day summaries and financial reports for management review.
Monitor transaction trends to help management predict high-demand periods for float planning.
Academic & Professional Background
Education: Minimum grade of C minus (C-) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Experience: Prior experience as an M-Pesa Attendant or in a similar high-volume cash-handling role is highly advantageous.
Tech Literacy: Basic computer skills and familiarity with mobile money interfaces.
