Job Description

Role Overview

You will take full ownership of revenue and profit targets for the LV Power and Final Distribution portfolio across East Africa. Day to day, you’ll prospect and close deals across data centres, commercial buildings, industrial plants, utilities, infrastructure, and manufacturing sectors — managing everything from initial specification through to project delivery. Your work directly shapes how the company expands its footprint in a competitive, fast-growing region while building lasting partnerships with key ecosystem players.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive annual sales and margin goals by creating and executing detailed territory and account plans tailored to East African market dynamics.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities with end users, consultants, EPC firms, electrical contractors, panel builders, system integrators, and developers.
  • Win product specifications early in the project lifecycle and actively manage conversion through commissioning and handover.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage channel partners and retail distributors to extend market reach and improve coverage.
  • Plan and deliver customer seminars, technical workshops, roadshows, exhibitions, and industry events to generate leads and reinforce brand presence.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and evolving customer needs to refine positioning and identify gaps.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline data, and performance reports to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical sales, business development, project sales, and electrical distribution solutions.
  • Deep understanding of the East African market for LV power, control gear, final distribution, busway/busduct systems, and power distribution solutions.
  • Proven track record in strategic selling, solution selling, negotiation, and account management.
  • Strong ability to identify opportunities, build pipelines, and convert projects from specification to delivery.
  • Experience engaging consultants, EPC contractors, electrical contractors, and large end-user accounts.
  • Hands-on experience developing channel partners and driving market expansion.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to collaborate across cultures and functions within the East Africa and MEA regions.

What We Offer / Why Join

This is a high-impact role where your performance directly influences revenue growth and market strategy across East Africa. You’ll partner with leading organisations and help drive sustainability outcomes that matter. You’ll also benefit from a supportive, collaborative culture that values expertise and innovation, along with access to professional development programmes, mentorship, and leadership pathways. Flexible work arrangements empower you to manage your territory effectively while balancing priorities.
