Role Overview
This role puts you on the front line of a membership sales programme, where most of your shift is spent on the phone with prospective and existing customers. You will explain what the Membership Program includes, work through hesitations in real time, and turn interest into committed members. Membership growth and revenue depend directly on how well this position performs, so consistency on every call matters as much as the volume of calls handled.
Key Responsibilities
- Work through roughly 40 calls per shift while maintaining consistent quality and pace.
- Present the Membership Program clearly and persuasively, translating features into value the customer can recognise.
- Prepare for and deliver at least three substantive rebuttals per call, using them to address concerns and keep conversations moving forward.
- Close sales confidently and capture revenue opportunities as they arise during a call.
- Recommend additional products, services, or membership options when they genuinely suit the customer's needs.
- Remain available and responsive to incoming calls for the full duration of the shift.
- Build rapport and trust so that customers stay with the programme and consider future offers.
- Maintain a professional, service-led tone in every interaction, including difficult or repeated objections.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least six months of prior sales experience.
- Strong English communication skills, both spoken and understood.
- Demonstrated ability to pitch products and services with confidence and adapt the pitch to different customers.
- Practical skill in overcoming objections and guiding conversations toward a close.
- Experience with upselling and cross-selling, or a clear willingness to apply those techniques.
- Strong negotiation ability and sound judgement about when to push and when to listen.
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Reliable customer service instincts and a professional approach to every caller.
What We Offer / Why Join
- A defined shift pattern: Monday to Sunday, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Kenya time (EAT).
- Two days off each week.
- A one-hour lunch break during the shift.
