Job Description

Job Title: Group Legal & Compliance Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented professional to lead and manage the Group’s legal and compliance function across all entities. This role will provide strategic legal advisory services, develop and implement the Group Legal & Compliance Strategy, serve as Company Secretary to the Board and Management, and define, monitor, and strengthen compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and governance requirements. The position will also be responsible for developing and implementing legal and compliance policies, processes, and procedures that ensure effective legal risk management, sound corporate governance, contract management, and regulatory compliance in line with the Group’s strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B)
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law
  • Admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practicing certificate
  • Membership in the Law Society of Kenya
  • A Certified Public Secretary (CPS) qualification will be an added advantage
  • 3–5 years of relevant legal practice experience
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, compliance, corporate governance, and contract management
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
