Junior Audit Associate / Intern

Role Overview

As a Junior Audit Associate or Intern, you will support external audit engagements from initial planning through fieldwork and documentation, working under the guidance of experienced audit professionals. Your work will help the team assess financial information against IFRS and applicable UAE requirements while building a practical foundation for a career in audit and assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with audit planning, fieldwork, and completion procedures across client assignments in different industries.
• Carry out assigned audit tests, document the procedures performed, and flag exceptions or questions to senior team members.
• Prepare and organise working papers, financial schedules, and evidence supporting audit conclusions.
• Review financial records and supporting documents for accuracy and consistency as directed by the engagement team.
• Request client records, track outstanding information, and communicate follow-up needs professionally.
• Coordinate with colleagues to keep assigned audit work organised and on schedule.
• Take part in training and apply feedback to strengthen technical knowledge and professional skills.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• Suitable for a recent graduate or a candidate with up to one year of audit experience.
• Progress toward, or recent completion of, a CA, ACCA, or CPA qualification is preferred.
• Familiarity with IFRS and external audit procedures.
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and preparing or organising financial documentation.
• Strong analytical skills, sound judgement, and careful attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to work constructively in a team.
• Professional approach to handling client information and completing assigned work.
• Applicants already based in the UAE and available to join immediately are preferred.
