Role Overview
Elwirad Electrical Trading LLC is seeking a Junior Accountant to support the day-to-day financial work of its Dubai electrical trading business. You will maintain dependable records, help produce monthly reporting, and contribute to VAT and Corporate Tax compliance so that internal teams and external partners can rely on accurate financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and review routine accounting transactions, keeping supporting documentation organised and financial ledgers up to date.
- Prepare monthly reports, account reconciliations, and closing journal entries.
- Track supplier payments and customer collections, and monitor cash flow and bank activity.
- Prepare UAE VAT returns and assist with Corporate Tax compliance tasks.
- Help ensure accounting processes follow company policies and applicable UAE requirements.
- Respond to requests from auditors, banks, and other external contacts, providing relevant financial records as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least two years of accounting experience in the UAE.
- Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax rules.
- Understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, organisation, and practical problem-solving skills.
- Immediate availability or a short notice period is preferred.
