Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as a Social Research Analyst. The ideal candidate will apply sociological theories, qualitative and quantitative research methods, and a deep understanding of social structures to inform program development and policy recommendations. This role requires a strong foundation in the principles of sociology and a commitment to evidence-based analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement research studies using surveys, interviews, focus groups, and data analysis software.
- Analyze social trends, demographic data, and community needs to produce actionable insights.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and policy briefs for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the social impact of programs and initiatives.
- Stay current with sociological literature and best practices in social research methodology.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (or closely related field) is required.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in social research, community analysis, or related roles.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, or Stata) and qualitative analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex sociological concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Familiarity with ethical guidelines for human subjects research.
