Role Overview

As an Installer, you are the face of the company at the customer's location, turning a scheduled appointment into a fully operational internet setup. Each day you will mount, wire, and configure equipment such as routers and cabling, verify that everything runs safely, and walk the customer through how their new system works. Your work directly determines whether a household or business gets reliable service from day one, and your attention to safety and detail protects both the customer and the company's reputation.

Key Responsibilities

• Sync with dispatch to confirm daily routes, appointment windows, and any schedule changes, then complete each job within its allotted time frame.
• Wear required identification, safety gear, and courtesy items at every job site, without exception.
• Run electrical and system tests on routers and related service equipment to confirm correct, hazard-free operation before leaving.
• Load, carry, and stage materials and hardware at the customer's premises so the installation can proceed without delays.
• Guide and coordinate fellow installers, and monitor sub-contractors within your area to ensure their work meets performance and quality standards.
• Explain the benefits and features of installed products to customers and identify opportunities to add on supplementary products or services.
• Keep installation tools and equipment in safe working order, and support parts, shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks as needed.
• Review job paperwork with customers and assist with the removal or installation of materials at their premises.

Requirements & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is the minimum; a certificate or diploma from a trade school or technical training program is a plus.
• Hands-on experience installing and adjusting internet equipment, including routers, cabling, and electrical systems.
• Comfort testing electrical equipment and systems to confirm safe, proper functioning.
• Ability to troubleshoot routers and service systems and resolve common installation issues.
• Working knowledge of installation tools, electrical safety practices, and routine maintenance procedures.
• Physical stamina to work in cramped spaces, crawl into tight areas, handle installations in all climates, and remain active throughout the shift.
• Clear communication skills to explain equipment features and maintenance information to customers.
• Willingness to wear all required safety and identification gear and follow site protocols.
