We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Internal Auditor to join our team in Machakos. The Internal Auditor will evaluate the Institute's financial records, internal controls, and operational processes to identify risks, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and recommend practical improvements to enhance efficiency and achieve cost savings before external audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of audit or accounting work experience.
• Strong analytical thinking and high attention to detail.
• Good computer and financial software skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential financial, operational, and legal threats to the Institute.
• Test the strength and efficiency of internal procedures and controls.
• Review financial documents, data, and accounting records for accuracy and compliance.
• Create clear and actionable reports detailing audit findings and recommended fixes.
• Ensure the Institute follows local laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Track and verify that management resolves issues identified in past audits.
