Description:
AES Engineering Consultancy is looking for a skilled and experienced Accountant to join its team in Abu Dhabi. This position is ideal for professionals who have a solid accounting background within the UAE engineering consultancy or construction industry and are capable of handling a wide range of financial responsibilities.
The selected candidate will oversee invoicing, financial reporting, payroll, and day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements. Candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and process consultancy invoices, including supervision and design fees.
• Manage invoicing procedures in accordance with government client requirements.
• Handle petty cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable activities.
• Process payroll accurately and maintain payroll records.
• Prepare financial statements and support financial reporting.
• Maintain accounting records using QuickBooks accounting software.
• Assist with Human Resources (HR) administration and Public Relations Officer (PRO) functions.
Requirements:
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in engineering consultancy or construction firms in the UAE.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Immediate availability or the ability to join within a short notice period is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Consultancy invoicing and government client billing procedures
• Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Financial Statements
• QuickBooks, HR Administration, and PRO-related functions
