Job Description

Role Overview

This role sits at the heart of our digital transformation efforts, ensuring that the computer systems and hardware supporting our digitisation projects run smoothly end-to-end. Day to day, you will monitor the performance of ICT equipment, assist with system rollouts, and act as the first point of contact for staff who need technical support or hands-on training. By keeping faults documented and escalating issues quickly, you help minimise downtime and keep productivity high across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and report on the progress of ongoing digitisation programmes, flagging any deviations from plan.
  • Support the implementation and configuration of new computer systems, from initial setup to final handover.
  • Provide responsive user support, resolving common technical problems and guiding staff through system functions.
  • Deliver training sessions and create simple user guides that help colleagues use ICT tools confidently.
  • Carry out routine repairs and preventative maintenance on computers, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
  • Monitor system performance, including network connectivity and device health, to identify potential issues before they escalate.
  • Document faults clearly and submit detailed reports to the appropriate teams for further investigation and resolution.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information communication technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field from a recognised institution.
  • Solid understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and common office software applications.
  • Familiarity with network fundamentals and basic troubleshooting of connectivity issues.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify performance problems and propose practical fixes.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and maintain accurate records of maintenance and fault reports.
