HVAC Technician

Role Overview

TAMEZON is a Dubai-based HVAC and facilities maintenance provider serving both residential and commercial clients across the city. As an HVAC Technician, you will spend your days travelling between sites, diagnosing system faults, carrying out repairs, and ensuring cooling equipment remains reliable and efficient. Your work directly impacts the comfort of residents and the uninterrupted operations of businesses, making thorough inspections and consistent follow-through essential to the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and repair a wide range of cooling systems, including split units, ducted setups, and central air conditioning installations.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance visits under Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) arrangements to minimise breakdowns and extend equipment lifespans.
• Install new HVAC equipment, complete electrical and refrigerant connections, and test systems to ensure they meet operational standards before handover.
• Use diagnostic tools, pressure gauges, and electrical testers to identify the root cause of system malfunctions and recommend cost-effective, long-term fixes.
• Maintain accurate records for each service call, including fault codes, parts replaced, time spent, and recommended future actions.
• Communicate clearly with clients during and after each job, explaining the work completed and offering practical advice to prevent repeat issues.
• Follow workplace safety procedures at all times, particularly when handling refrigerants, working with live electrical components, or operating at height.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A diploma or certificate in HVAC, mechanical engineering, refrigeration, or a closely related technical field.
• At least three years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing air conditioning systems in residential or commercial environments.
• Solid knowledge of refrigeration cycles, compressor operation, heat transfer principles, and how each component interacts within a complete HVAC system.
• Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals, including reading wiring diagrams, testing motors and capacitors, and safely diagnosing electrical faults.
• Practical experience with preventive maintenance planning, new installations, and system commissioning from initial start-up to final performance verification.
• A valid UAE driving license is highly desirable, and previous field experience within the UAE is an added advantage.
• Professional, self-sufficient work habits with the ability to manage your own schedule and maintain courteous, clear communication with clients.
