Job Title: Human Resource Officer
Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resource Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will lead end-to-end recruitment, manage employee relations, ensure compliance with Kenyan labor laws, and support HR operations and process improvements. This role requires a solution-oriented professional who can work independently in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, onboarding, and probation follow-up.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, contracts, and ensure compliance with Kenyan labor laws and internal company policies.
- Support performance management processes, employee engagement initiatives, attendance management, and workplace culture programs.
- Handle employee relations matters professionally, including disciplinary processes, grievances, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
- Coordinate staff training, onboarding programs, and HR development initiatives aimed at improving employee productivity and retention.
- Monitor statutory compliance, leave management, workplace health and safety requirements, and HR operational reporting.
- Support HR process improvement initiatives and contribute to building efficient and scalable HR systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–4 years of progressive HR experience in a busy and structured work environment.
- Strong understanding of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices.
- Experience handling recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity at all times.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
