Job Overview

We are seeking a highly commercial, network-driven HORECA Sales Executive to expand our market footprint across the hospitality, institutional, and commercial corporate sectors in Ruiru, Kiambu. Your primary focus is to secure high-value supply listings and manage long-term partnerships for our premium tissue products, specialized detergents, and broad FMCG solutions. This role bridges aggressive business development with structured corporate account management. You will cultivate direct links with procurement heads, executive chefs, and facility managers across top hotels, schools, hospitals, and corporate catering groups. The role demands an ambitious, target-centered professional who possesses an active network within the hospitality space and excels at independent contract negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

Channel Expansion & Institutional Acquisition

  • Formulate and deploy aggressive B2B sales strategies to rapidly increase product distribution across designated commercial and institutional tracks.
  • Target, approach, and convert high-volume commercial accounts, including regional hotels, restaurants, cafes, corporate offices, churches, and academic campuses.
  • Pitch the cost efficiencies and superior quality of our cleaning solutions and paper assets, leading live product demonstrations and closing premium corporate contracts.
  • Hit and exceed consistent daily, weekly, and monthly commercial sales targets to expand local market dominance.
  • Secure permanent product placement listings and improve brand visibility across major catering and institutional operations.

Portfolio Retention & Client Relations

  • Build and preserve reliable, long-term relationships with institutional buyers and core procurement decision-makers.
  • Manage existing client portfolios systematically to guarantee consistent restock requests and minimize brand switching.
  • Evaluate client consumption habits proactively, recommending tailored volume packages or product bundles to optimize their overhead spend.
  • Resolve custom logistics challenges, payment processing complaints, or product feedback instantly with high professional poise.

Pipeline Analysis & Market Scans

  • Maintain a structured, active database of prospective corporate accounts and pipeline values within the assigned geographic zone.
  • Monitor competitor pricing adjustments, newly introduced discount structures, and product variations to feed field updates to management.
  • Track local business openings and emerging procurement networks to secure early supply advantages.
  • Guide converted clients through the standard credit verification and operational account creation setup smoothly.

Logistics Linkage & Activity Reporting

  • Compile clear daily and weekly sales performance sheets, account acquisition metrics, and client engagement updates.
  • Track individual conversion indicators, contract renewal dates, and outstanding billing balances closely.
  • Collaborate continuously with warehouse and shipping teams to guarantee precise, on-time order drop-offs for clients.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Academic Foundation: Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a matching corporate business discipline.
  • Sector Longevity: Minimum of 3 years of progressive, verified performance operating in HORECA field sales, with explicit preference for backgrounds selling tissue products, commercial detergents, or high-turnover FMCG goods.
  • Listing Mastery: Proven experience navigating institutional entry rules, securing long-term corporate supply tenders, and managing wholesale accounts.
  • Territory Fluency: Intimate understanding of corporate buyer networks and institutional setups within Ruiru, Kiambu and adjacent economic zones.
