Head of Technology & Transformation

Role Overview

This is a hands-on strategic technology leadership position that reports directly to the CEO. Day to day, you will stabilize the company's core ERP environment, drive a pipeline of systems modernisation projects, and establish data and analytics as a trusted function. Your work matters because every improvement you make in operations, sales logistics, or reporting directly impacts the commercial performance and scalability of a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the Acumatica ERP environment: enforce governance, resolve stability issues, and lead the roadmap for upgrades and integrations.
• Build and embed decision-ready reporting and analytics capabilities that give operations, sales, and finance teams real-time, accurate insights.
• Deliver transformation projects for sales force automation (SFA), transportation management (TMS), and logistics workflows, ensuring measurable efficiency gains.
• Evaluate and pilot practical AI applications that can be quickly woven into existing processes without disrupting day-to-day operations.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a lean internal technology team capable of owning the company's long-term tech strategy and execution.
• Act as the bridge between business teams and external vendors, turning ambiguous requirements into clear, deliverable projects with defined outcomes.
• Establish technology roadmaps and budgets that align with the company's growth plans and report progress regularly to the CEO.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior technology role—such as Head of Technology, Enterprise Architect, Digital Transformation Lead, or ERP Programme Manager—within a growing SME or mid-market environment.
• Deep hands-on familiarity with Acumatica ERP or a comparable modern ERP platform, including governance, customisation, and data migration.
• A track record of turning technology projects into tangible commercial results (e.g., cost savings, revenue growth, process time reductions).
• Strong business acumen and the ability to communicate complex technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders, including the CEO and department heads.
• Experience building and managing small, high-performing engineering or IT operations teams from scratch or scaling an existing function.
• Familiarity with modern data and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL-based reporting) and a willingness to get into the details when needed.
• Exposure to supply chain, logistics, or sales operations technology (SFA, TMS, WMS) is a strong plus.
