Description:
A well-established academic institution in Dubai is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Head of Mathematics to lead its Mathematics Department. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, academic excellence, and developing innovative learning strategies that enhance student performance.
This leadership role requires an individual who can guide a team of educators, maintain high academic standards, and contribute to the overall improvement of the mathematics curriculum. The selected candidate will play a key role in shaping departmental policies and driving educational success within the school.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the Mathematics Department effectively
• Supervise, mentor, and support Mathematics teaching staff
• Ensure high academic standards and improved student outcomes
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and departmental teaching strategies
• Promote innovation and excellence in mathematics teaching and learning
• Monitor curriculum implementation and ensure compliance with school standards
• Coordinate with academic leadership to enhance overall educational performance
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mathematics
• Teaching qualification such as B.Ed or PGCE (preferred)
• Proven leadership experience in an educational institution
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• UAE curriculum experience is an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of:
• Curriculum planning and academic leadership
• Student performance evaluation methods
• Classroom management strategies
• Educational assessment and examination systems
• Teacher mentoring and departmental coordination
