Role Overview
You will partner with CorpsAfrica to create two polished Canva presentations that drive fundraising, partnership development, and stakeholder communication. Day-to-day work involves transforming provided content into visually compelling slide decks, suggesting improvements to layout and narrative flow, and producing custom graphics that clarify complex program data. This work matters because well-designed materials are essential for a growing nonprofit to secure support from donors, foundations, and government leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design a 10–15 slide partnership pitch deck tailored to corporate and institutional audiences, focusing on engagement opportunities.
- Develop a second, adaptable 10–15 slide general presentation for use with donors, ambassadors, conference attendees, and other high-level stakeholders.
- Build infographics, charts, icons, and other original visual elements that enhance storytelling and make impact data easy to digest.
- Review provided content and recommend structural or copy refinements to improve clarity, readability, and audience engagement while preserving the organization’s voice.
- Apply CorpsAfrica’s brand guidelines—including fonts, colors, logos, and photography—consistently across both presentations.
- Incorporate at least three rounds of feedback on each presentation, attending review meetings as needed to align with feedback.
- Deliver fully editable Canva files plus PDF versions, along with any custom graphics or assets created during the project.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven track record designing high-quality presentations for nonprofits, foundations, social enterprises, or international development organizations.
- Advanced, hands-on proficiency in Canva (must be able to work efficiently within the platform and produce editable files).
- Strong graphic design skills including layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and the ability to create custom icons and infographics.
- Experience building presentations targeted at fundraising, partnership cultivation, executive leadership, or board-level audiences.
- Ability to distill complex information into clear, engaging visuals without sacrificing accuracy.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, with a reputation for meeting deadlines and responding promptly.
- Preferred: copywriting or communications background, with demonstrated skill in suggesting edits that sharpen message flow and readability.
