Mechanical Draughtsman

A leading MEP contracting company is looking for an experienced Mechanical Draughtsman to join its team in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. This role is ideal for professionals with strong technical drafting skills and hands-on experience in preparing mechanical drawings for construction projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed shop drawings, coordinating MEP services, and preparing accurate as-built drawings. Candidates with UAE/GCC project experience and a solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare mechanical shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.

• Develop HVAC drawings, including ductwork, chilled water piping, equipment layouts, and ventilation systems.

• Prepare plumbing and firefighting drawings as required.

• Coordinate mechanical services with architectural, structural, and electrical drawings.

• Review IFC/design drawings and incorporate consultant comments.

• Prepare drawings for consultant and client submissions.

• Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to support installation requirements.

• Prepare accurate as-built drawings based on completed site installations.

• Identify and resolve MEP coordination and clash issues.

• Maintain drawing revisions and submission records.

Requirements:

• Diploma, ITI, or Certificate in Mechanical Drafting or Mechanical Engineering.

• 3–5 years of experience in MEP contracting or construction.

• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD.

• Knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM is an advantage.

• Good understanding of HVAC, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems.

• Ability to interpret IFC, architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

• UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.

• Good communication, coordination, and attention to detail.

• Strong knowledge of:

    • AutoCAD & Revit MEP/BIM

    • HVAC, Plumbing & Firefighting Systems

    • MEP Coordination & Shop Drawings
