Role Overview
This entry-level role combines hands-on export operations with data-driven process improvement. You will prepare and check shipping documentation, coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and convert logistics data into clear reports and dashboards that help the team spot inefficiencies. Your work directly supports smooth international trade by ensuring every shipment is properly documented, traceable, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile, verify, and maintain export paperwork such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs declarations, ensuring every file meets regulatory and company standards.
- Act as a liaison among freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and internal teams to monitor shipment progress, resolve delays, and keep everyone informed of status changes.
- Clean, structure, and manage datasets covering export sales, freight costs, and shipping performance so the information is accurate, consistent, and ready for analysis.
- Build and update shipment tracking dashboards using spreadsheet tools and visualization software to present logistics KPIs like transit times, cost per shipment, and on-time delivery rates.
- Draft and refine standard operating procedures for export workflows, and review process data to identify cost-saving opportunities or recurring bottlenecks.
- Contribute to supply chain team meetings by sharing data-backed observations and proposing practical improvements to optimize international trade operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree completed within the last 12 months in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related field.
- Solid understanding of international trade fundamentals, including Incoterms, customs processes, and the typical documentation flow for cross-border shipments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data cleaning, formula-based analysis, and report preparation, plus comfort using data extraction tools for operational datasets.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, or experience with ERP systems, is a strong plus.
- Meticulous attention to detail when handling shipping documents and large volumes of data, combined with a methodical approach to troubleshooting problems.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills to explain logistics updates, data findings, and process issues to colleagues from different departments.
- Willingness to complete a video interview, an aptitude test, and a job simulation assessment as part of the selection process.
