Role Overview
This is a front-line revenue role for a sales development professional who is comfortable spending the majority of the working day on the phone with prospects in US and international markets. You will own the very first stage of the sales cycle — finding the right accounts, opening cold conversations, and converting initial interest into confirmed meetings on Account Executive calendars. Because every downstream deal depends on the quality of the conversations you start, your output directly determines how much new business the team is able to close each quarter.
Key Responsibilities
- Run a high daily volume of outbound calls against targeted account and contact lists, working through structured call blocks rather than waiting for inbound interest.
- Build and execute multi-touch email sequences that support your phone outreach and keep prospects engaged between call attempts.
- Research target companies and identify the right decision-makers and influencers before making first contact.
- Qualify prospects against agreed criteria — budget, authority, need, and timing — so that only genuinely sales-ready opportunities reach the Account Executives.
- Schedule discovery calls and demos, confirm attendance, and hand over complete context on each meeting so the AE is fully prepared.
- Keep the CRM current after every touch: log calls and emails, record notes, update contact details, and set clear next steps for each prospect.
- Maintain healthy pipeline coverage by consistently adding new early-stage opportunities while progressing or disqualifying existing ones.
- Track and report your own activity and results — dials, connect rates, conversations, and meetings booked — and adjust your approach based on what the numbers show.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of hands-on outbound SDR or BDR experience, with cold calling as a core part of the role rather than an occasional task.
- A demonstrated track record of prospecting into US or other international markets, including comfort with different time zones and buyer expectations.
- Clear, well-paced spoken English with a neutral or minimally accented delivery that is easy for international prospects to follow.
- Strong communication and objection-handling ability — you can keep a conversation moving when a prospect pushes back, and you know when to respectfully walk away.
- Practical experience working inside a CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or a comparable platform) and keeping records accurate and up to date.
- Solid grasp of core sales KPIs and pipeline management: you understand how activity metrics translate into meetings and revenue, and you manage your own numbers accordingly.
- A stable, verifiable work history and a coachable attitude — willing to take feedback on call recordings and scripts and apply it quickly.
- Resilience and self-motivation in a role where rejection is a normal part of the day and consistency matters more than occasional bursts of effort.
What We Offer / Why Join
- Direct exposure to US and international buyers, giving you experience that transfers well across markets and industries.
- Ownership of the top of the funnel — your activity and results are visible and directly tied to company revenue.
- A metrics-led environment where performance is measured clearly, so strong contributors can see exactly how their work is landing.
- A team culture that values a coachable mindset, with feedback used as a tool for improving your outbound craft.
