Job Role
- The General Manager – Isuzu (Automotive) is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational performance of the Isuzu automotive business. The role oversees sales, after-sales service, parts procurement, customer experience, financial performance, and business growth while ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards and company policies.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- Drive business growth and profitability of the Isuzu division.
- Ensure excellence in vehicle sales, spare parts, and after-sales services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Isuzu manufacturers and key stakeholders.
- Lead high-performing teams to achieve operational and financial targets.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement business strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Identify market opportunities and drive expansion initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Establish annual business plans and performance targets.
Sales & Business Development
- Drive vehicle sales and market share growth.
- Oversee fleet sales and key account management.
- Build strong relationships with corporate clients and government institutions.
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies.
Operations & After-Sales Management
- Ensure efficient management of workshops, service centers, and spare parts operations.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction standards.
- Ensure compliance with Isuzu operational and service standards.
- Optimize operational processes for efficiency and profitability.
Financial Management
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Monitor revenue, costs, and profitability.
- Ensure effective inventory and procurement management.
- Review and approve major expenditures.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop departmental managers.
- Conduct performance reviews and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and teamwork.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA or Master's Degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum 10–15 years' experience in the automotive industry, with at least 5 years in senior management.
- Strong understanding of Isuzu vehicles, spare parts, fleet management, and after-sales operations.
- Proven track record in business growth and profitability management.
