FIGO Restaurant is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented General Accountant to become part of its growing team at Dubai Creek Harbour. This opportunity is ideal for accounting professionals with a solid background in restaurant or hospitality finance and a strong understanding of UAE accounting regulations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, tax compliance, reconciliations, and cost control. Applicants currently based in Dubai and available for immediate joining are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting transactions, bookkeeping, and financial records.
• Prepare daily sales reports, revenue summaries, and management reports.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payment processing.
• Reconcile bank accounts, cash, POS, and credit card transactions.
• Assist with monthly and year-end financial closing activities.
• Monitor restaurant operating expenses, food costs, beverage costs, inventory, and stock reconciliations.
• Track purchases, supplier balances, and outstanding payments.
• Maintain complete accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and submit UAE VAT returns while maintaining Corporate Tax records.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and suppliers when required.
• Support payroll accounting, petty cash management, budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
• Ensure all accounting activities comply with company policies and UAE financial regulations.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience within Dubai or the UAE.
• Previous accounting experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Must currently be based in Dubai.
• Immediate availability to join is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of:

• VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Restaurant accounting, inventory, and cost control.
• Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
