Full Stack Developer

Role Purpose

The Full Stack Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, integration, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise digital solutions across the organization. This role develops and supports a wide range of technology solutions, including web and mobile applications, customer and supplier portals, APIs, enterprise integrations, workflow solutions, dashboards, and interfaces with ERP, Operational Technology (OT), Industrial IoT (IIoT), laboratory systems, and other business-critical platforms.

The role ensures that all solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with business objectives, enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, and the organization's digital transformation agenda. The incumbent works closely with business users, ICT teams, vendors, and external partners to deliver innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and business performance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Principal Accountabilities and Key Results Areas

Build and maintain web/mobile applications, developing both front-end and back-end functionality.

  • Develop user-facing features with modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (such as React, Angular, or Vue.js).
  • Implement server-side logic with back-end languages and frameworks such as Node.js, Python, or PHP.
  • Create and manage RESTful APIs to support data-driven applications.

Website Support and Maintenance

  • Provide ongoing website maintenance, ensuring websites are updated, fully functional, and secure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, minimizing downtime and user impact.
  • Monitor website performance, load times, and traffic to ensure high availability and scalability.

Hosting and Server Management

  • Manage and monitor hosting environments, including provisioning, setup, configuration, and maintenance of servers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Digital Ocean).
  • Deploy applications, perform backups, and manage storage requirements as needed.
  • Ensure website and application security, setting up firewalls, SSL certificates, and performing regular security audits.

Database Management

  • Design, develop, and maintain databases, including data schema design, optimization, and query performance.
  • Use SQL or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) for data management and storage.
  • Perform regular data backups and manage data redundancy and failover strategies.

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Set up monitoring tools for uptime, server health, and security alerts to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Track website analytics and provide performance insights, reports, and recommendations for improvements.

Documentation and Best Practices

  • Document development processes, deployment instructions, and technical specifications.
  • Establish and maintain coding best practices, testing protocols, and release processes to ensure quality and consistency.

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in software development in a medium-to-large enterprise environment.
  • Experience working with ERP environments.
  • Experience supporting production/operations systems.

Languages and Frameworks

  • Front-End: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, with experience in frameworks such as React, Angular, Java Spring Boot or Vue.js.
  • Mobile development: Flutter, React Native, Kotlin, and Swift.
  • Back-End: Strong skills in server-side languages like Node.js, Python, PHP, or Java.

Database Management

  • Proficiency in SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).

Hosting and Server Management

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Digital Ocean, Google Cloud) and knowledge of server configuration, security, and troubleshooting.

Tools

  • Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.).
