Frontend Developer (Volunteer)
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Frontend Developer to help build and enhance SheCodeAfrica’s digital platforms. This role is ideal for individuals committed to empowering women and girls in tech and eager to contribute as a volunteer. You will focus on creating engaging, user-friendly interfaces that ensure a seamless experience for our community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive web applications.
- Collaborate with designers and backend developers to implement UI/UX designs.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Ensure accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
- Debug and troubleshoot frontend issues on the SCA Summit Website.
- Manage frontend-related support on the SCA Summit website.
- Opportunity to mentor or facilitate SheCodeAfrica programs (optional but encouraged).
Requirements
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks (React, Vue, etc.).
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles.
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating great user experiences.
- Must be passionate about supporting the growth of women and girls in tech and committed to giving back through volunteering.
