Somewhere is hiring a detail-oriented Financial Data Entry Specialist to support a U.S.-based HR-tech/SaaS company that provides employee performance management solutions. The role focuses on maintaining accurate sales and financial records while supporting Finance, Sales, and Customer Support teams.
The successful candidate will manage financial data entry, validate transactions, maintain records across platforms, and ensure data accuracy through established quality-control processes. This remote opportunity is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, financial knowledge, and experience working with digital systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enter sales deals, customer transactions, orders, invoices, and payment details accurately into Salesforce, QuickBooks Online, and other company systems.
• Review financial and transaction records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies by reviewing source documents and collaborating with relevant teams.
• Maintain updated customer, account, pricing, product, and sales records.
• Follow established workflows, checklists, and quality-control procedures.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Customer Support, and other departments to maintain accurate information flow.
• Communicate proactively regarding unclear instructions, missing information, or processing issues.
• Handle sensitive customer, sales, and financial data with confidentiality.
• Support reconciliations and other administrative or operational activities when required.
Requirements:
• 2–3+ years of experience in financial data entry, accounting, bookkeeping, or operations.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, QuickBooks Online, or similar business systems.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong accuracy skills.
• Good organizational, communication, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Reliable, proactive, and comfortable asking questions when needed.
• Experience in finance, accounting, sales operations, or administration is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Financial data entry, record maintenance, and transaction processing.
• Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, QuickBooks Online, and digital record systems.
• Data validation, reconciliations, and quality-control procedures.
