Financial Controller (300K)

Role Overview

The Financial Controller will partner with plant leadership and the Business Controller to connect financial planning with day-to-day manufacturing performance. By monitoring costs, product margins and stock accuracy, this role helps management make informed decisions, protect assets and improve the plant’s operational efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the plant’s annual budget process, gathering information from relevant teams and delivering complete, timely budget submissions.
• Provide financial analysis and practical insight to support plant objectives and management decisions.
• Review operating costs, identify avoidable expenditure and lead initiatives that improve cost efficiency and product margins.
• Work with the Plant Manager to strengthen product cost competitiveness and maintain accurate SAP costing, including activity types and overhead rates.
• Partner with the Business Controller on pricing decisions that balance market competitiveness with profitability.
• Maintain effective controls over plant revenue, spending and inventory, identifying financial or operational risks and taking steps to safeguard company assets.
• Monitor stock levels and inventory control practices, and oversee monthly stock counts and reconciliations across sites and depots.
• Ensure inventory variances—including those involving imported materials and external stores—are investigated, approved and recorded accurately within required timelines.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or another business-related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CPA(K), ACCA or an equivalent credential.
• At least five years of relevant experience in manufacturing finance, including practical exposure to inventory management and production processes.
• Hands-on experience with SAP, particularly its CO (Controlling), MM (Materials Management) and PP (Production Planning) modules.
• Strong spreadsheet skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
