Primary Focus

We are seeking a sharp, analytical Finance Officer to maintain the fiscal integrity of Buy Simu Tech. Your objective is to ensure absolute precision across our financial recording systems while driving compliance and liquidity optimization. You will oversee the complete cycle of accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations, turning raw transaction data into insightful monthly and quarterly statements. This role demands an individual who can systematically implement internal risk controls, manage tax obligations flawlessly, and provide data-driven insights to back strategic operational choices.

Key Workstreams

Fiscal Reporting & General Ledger Governance

• Structure and prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Process, classify, and audit daily financial transactions including payroll, payables, and receivables.

• Conduct continuous reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger entries to clear discrepancies swiftly.

• Track inventory metrics and collaborate across departments to streamline broader financial planning.

Budgetary Control & Cash Flow Optimization

• Build comprehensive operational budgets and evaluate financial performance against established targets.

• Execute thorough variance analysis and provide forecasting data to flag potential fiscal risks.

• Monitor corporate cash flow daily to guarantee optimum business liquidity and support cost-containment efforts.

• Analyze historical financial trends to deliver strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Tax Governance & Audit Readiness

• Prepare and file all statutory deductions and tax returns in absolute alignment with Kenyan tax laws.

• Enforce rigorous internal control systems to protect assets and minimize corporate financial liabilities.

• Assemble required documentation and act as the core liaison for both internal and external audit teams.

Expertise Profile

The Essentials

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent business discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a dedicated corporate finance or accounting role.

• Technical Mastery: Exceptional proficiency in Zoho Books (or modern ERP software) alongside advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.

• Knowledge Base: Deep understanding of IFRS standards and local statutory tax regulations.

Desirable Attributes

• Certification: Professional accounting credentials (CPA/ACCA) are highly preferred.
