Primary Mandate

We are seeking a hands-on Farm Supervisor to lead daily operations across our dairy, poultry, and horticultural units. Your objective is to ensure the health and productivity of our livestock while maximizing crop yields through disciplined field management. You will be the primary coordinator for farm workers, ensuring that feeding schedules, irrigation, and harvesting are executed with precision. This role is designed for a hardworking individual who thrives in an outdoor environment and is capable of managing both the biological needs of the farm and the administrative requirements of production tracking.

Functional Responsibilities

Animal Husbandry & Poultry Oversight

• Supervise the comprehensive care of dairy cows and poultry, ensuring consistent feeding and watering schedules.

• Monitor livestock health daily, identifying and reporting any signs of illness or behavioral changes for immediate intervention.

• Direct milking routines and egg collection processes, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene in animal housing.

• Manage the rotation of feeds and ensure all livestock areas are kept clean and sanitized.

Crop Management & Horticultural Operations

• Oversee the lifecycle of horticultural crops, from planting and irrigation to weeding and pest control.

• Manage harvesting activities, ensuring that produce is handled carefully to maintain market quality.

• Monitor field conditions and coordinate spraying schedules to protect crops from disease.

• Maintain the organizational layout of the fields to optimize land use and farm safety.

Workforce Coordination & Administration

• Assign daily duties to farm workers and provide direct supervision to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

• Maintain accurate records for milk yields, egg counts, and the utilization of farm inputs like fertilizers and feeds.

• Monitor inventory levels for farm supplies and alert management to upcoming requirements.

• Assist in identifying potential buyers and local markets to ensure the timely sale of farm produce.

• Education: Certificate or Diploma in Agriculture, Animal Health, Agribusiness, or a related discipline.

• Domain Expertise: Practical experience in mixed farming systems, specifically dairy, poultry, and horticulture.
