Position: Farm Supervisor
Industry: Large-Scale Farming (Agri-Business)
Remuneration: Kshs. 40,000 – 50,000
Locations: Timau & Kitengela
Role Purpose
We are seeking a proactive and technically sound Farm Supervisor to support the Farm Manager in executing the operational vision of Kevian Farms. This role is central to our production efficiency, requiring a hands-on leader who can translate daily plans into high-quality crop yields. You will be tasked with the direct supervision of field staff, ensuring that irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and harvesting activities are carried out with precision. The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of crop management with the organizational discipline necessary to maintain a productive and professional farming environment.
Functional Responsibilities
Crop & Field Management

Execute daily work plans provided by the Farm Manager to ensure optimal crop health and growth cycles.

Monitor field conditions, identifying and addressing issues related to pests, diseases, or nutritional deficiencies.

Supervise the application of fertilizers and crop protection chemicals according to safety and quality standards.

Coordinate irrigation schedules and soil management practices to maximize resource efficiency.
Personnel & Operational Oversight

Lead and supervise field labor teams, ensuring high productivity and adherence to farm protocols.

Enforce time-management standards to ensure all seasonal tasks are completed within the designated windows.

Conduct regular site inspections to verify that equipment and tools are being used correctly and maintained properly.

Facilitate clear communication between the field staff and management regarding operational challenges or resource needs.
Compliance & Professionalism

Maintain accurate records of field activities, input usage, and labor attendance.

Ensure all farm operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Represent the farm professionally, maintaining the integrity and reputation of Kevian Kenya through disciplined leadership.
Professional Requirements
Background & Experience

Education: Minimum of a Diploma in an Agricultural course from a recognized Kenyan institution.

Tenure: At least 3–5 years of experience in crop management and staff supervision.

Domain Knowledge: Proven expertise in managing large-scale agricultural projects and diverse labor forces.
