Job Title: Head of Facilities Management
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and operational leader to direct the Hospital's Facilities Management function. This role ensures the safe, efficient and cost‑effective management of all buildings, utilities, biomedical support coordination, security, housekeeping, waste management, landscaping, transport, maintenance services and contracted service providers. The position is responsible for maintaining a safe, compliant and patient‑centred environment while supporting uninterrupted clinical operations, regulatory compliance and asset preservation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the entire facilities management department.
- Manage and coordinate all building and infrastructure maintenance, including mechanical, electrical and civil engineering systems.
- Oversee biomedical equipment support coordination to ensure clinical readiness.
- Direct security operations, housekeeping, waste management, landscaping and transport services.
- Supervise contracted service providers, ensuring performance meets agreed standards and contractual obligations.
- Maintain a safe, compliant and patient‑centred environment in line with healthcare regulations.
- Ensure uninterrupted clinical operations through proactive facilities planning and response.
- Drive regulatory compliance and asset preservation through systematic inspection, maintenance and documentation.
- Manage the facilities budget, driving cost‑effective solutions without compromising quality or safety.
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Building & Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Estate Management, Facilities Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in facilities, operations, hospitality, or support services management.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated experience in facilities maintenance, waste management, housekeeping, laundry, or food service operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification in Facilities Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience working in a healthcare facility or similarly complex institution.
