Role Overview
The Planning Manager will shape and control schedules for major roads and infrastructure works in the UAE, translating project scope and delivery milestones into practical programmes. Working closely with construction and project teams, this contractor-side role tracks progress, identifies schedule threats and supports timely decisions on complex infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop integrated project schedules and establish approved baselines for roads and infrastructure works.
- Maintain Primavera P6 programmes, updating activities, logic, durations and milestones as project conditions change.
- Measure actual progress against the programme and investigate variances that could affect delivery dates.
- Produce regular planning reports that clearly communicate schedule status, key risks and forecast outcomes.
- Carry out schedule and delay analysis, assess the effect of changes or disruptions, and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
- Prepare recovery programmes and recommend sequencing or resource adjustments when progress falls behind plan.
- Coordinate with site, engineering and project management teams to align near-term work plans with contractual milestones.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
- Substantial experience on roads and infrastructure projects in the UAE, ideally including major RTA projects.
- Contractor-side project experience is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and its use in maintaining complex project schedules.
- Demonstrated capability in baseline development, progress measurement, schedule updates, reporting, delay analysis and recovery planning.
