Dynamics 365 Finance

Role Overview

You will lead the finance workstream for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, shaping how core accounting processes and connected ISV solutions feed the organisation’s books. Your work will help finance teams run reliable reporting, tax processing and period-end close, including through the first month-end after launch.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, banking, tax and period-close processes in Dynamics 365 Finance.
• Design financial dimensions, intercompany workflows and consolidation approaches for groups operating across multiple African entities.
• Integrate payroll, eTIMS and disbursement ISVs, ensuring transactions post accurately to the relevant ledger accounts.
• Run requirements and design workshops with finance stakeholders, translating business needs into functional solutions.
• Prepare functional specifications and process documentation that finance teams can use to review and operate the solution.
• Guide finance users through UAT, resolve functional issues and prepare for cutover.
• Support the finance solution after go-live, with particular attention to the demands of the first month-end close.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Practical delivery experience with Dynamics 365 Finance or Dynamics AX, including participation in at least one live finance close.
• Sound understanding of trial balances, tax postings and bank reconciliations, with the ability to explain these processes clearly to finance users.
• Experience facilitating workshops and producing documentation that is clear and usable for controllers and other finance stakeholders.
• Dynamics 365 Finance certification such as MB-310, or equivalent knowledge, is an advantage.
• Experience with statutory finance requirements in Kenya, South Africa or Nigeria is desirable.
• Power BI experience applied to finance reporting is beneficial.
• Willingness and ability to travel to Europe is an added advantage.
